Chalna Terms of Use

Thank you for using Chalna (chalna-time.com). These terms set out the conditions of use and the limits of responsibility for every Chalna service, including the brain games, Toddler Play and Chalna Timer (clock, timer, stopwatch and break timer). By using Chalna you agree to these terms.

Effective date: October 6, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms define the conditions of use, the rights and duties of Chalna (the "Operator") and its users, and the limits of responsibility for the services provided through chalna-time.com and related pages (the "Service").

2. The Service

The Service consists of free brain games, games to play with family and friends, Toddler Play, and Chalna Timer (clock, world clock comparison, timer, stopwatch and break timer), all available without sign-up.

The Service is provided "as is" for personal leisure, learning and everyday reference. We make no promise that it is fit for any particular purpose or that it will be available without interruption.

3. About times and timers

The current time, world times, time differences, "morning/evening" labels, timer and stopwatch readings, and break-timer schedules and bells shown in Chalna Timer ("Time Information") are calculated from your device clock and your browser's time-zone data, and are provided for reference and comparison only.

The Operator does not guarantee that Time Information is accurate, complete or real-time. Times may differ, and alarms or bells may not sound, because of device clock drift, network or browser conditions, changes to daylight-saving or other time-zone rules, screen-off, power-saving or silent modes, or closing the tab or switching apps.

Time Information is not an official time standard. Do not rely on it for anything where exact time matters, such as commercial transactions or contracts, the start or end of exams, competitions or bids, working-hour calculations, flights or transport, medical treatment or medication, or legal and administrative deadlines. In such cases, always check the official standard time or the time set by the relevant organization.

The Break Timer is a helper tool based on Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9) and does not replace any school's or organization's official timetable or bell.

4. About game results

Scores, records and titles in the games are for fun and practice only and do not replace any medical or psychological diagnosis, assessment or treatment.

5. Limitation of liability

Unless caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for any damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, this free Service.

The Operator is not liable for any direct or indirect loss — such as being late, missed appointments, financial loss or lost opportunities — arising from decisions or actions based on Time Information, from errors in Time Information, or from alarms that did not sound.

The Operator is not liable when the Service cannot be provided for reasons beyond its control, such as natural disasters, power or network outages, problems with third parties such as the hosting provider, or problems with the user's device or browser.

This section applies to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where the law does not allow the Operator's liability to be limited, the law prevails.

6. Copyright and no commercial use

All rights, including copyright, in the content of the Service — games, designs, images, text, sounds and program code — belong to the Operator or the rightful owners.

You may freely use the Service's features, such as Chalna Timer and the Sign Board, on screen in any setting — at home, school, a shop or an event. However, without the Operator's prior written consent, you may not copy, distribute, transmit, modify or sell the Service's content or program itself, or put it into another website, app, broadcast or product to offer it as your own service or for profit.

Mass collection of the Service's content by automated means (crawlers, scripts, etc.) and presenting the Service as your own (such as unauthorized framing) are not permitted.

7. User responsibilities

Do not interfere with the normal operation of the Service, click ads fraudulently, or compromise the security of the Service.

When children use the Service, a parent or guardian should guide how and how long they use it.

7-2. Sign Board and shared links

Messages typed into the Sign Board or shared by link ("Sign Messages") are written by users, and the user who wrote a message is solely responsible for it. Sign Messages are not opinions or notices from the Operator.

You must not write or share Sign Messages that defame, insult or infringe the rights of others; are abusive, hateful, obscene or violent; impersonate another person or organization (including Chalna); lead to fraud, spam or illegal information; contain personal information such as names, phone numbers or addresses; or include others' copyrighted works without permission.

Sign Messages exist only inside the link and are not stored on the Operator's servers or sent to usage statistics. The Operator does not review or keep Sign Messages and cannot verify who sent them. Recipients and the messaging or SMS services a link passes through can see the message, so only write what you are comfortable making public.

Recipients should understand that a Sign Message was written by its sender, and should confirm the sender directly before following any address or request in it (such as sending money or entering personal information). Unless caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence, the Operator is not liable for disputes between users or with third parties arising from Sign Messages.

If you find a Sign Board link that breaks the law or these terms, please tell us at skwljqa@naver.com. Where necessary, the Operator may take steps so that the link is no longer displayed.

8. Advertising

To operate the Service, the Operator may show third-party ads such as Google AdSense (except on Toddler Play screens). Advertisers are responsible for their ads and for the products and services they offer, and the Operator is not involved in any transaction between users and advertisers.

9. Personal information

Chalna has no sign-up and does not collect information that identifies you, such as your name or contact details. Records and settings are stored only on your device. Cookies and usage statistics are covered by the Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to or suspension of the Service

The Operator may add to or change the Service, or suspend all or part of it for operational or technical reasons. As the Service is free, no separate compensation is provided.

11. Changes to these terms

The Operator may change these terms within the limits of applicable law. Changed terms take effect from the day they are posted on this page, and continuing to use the Service means you agree to them.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any dispute related to the Service will be resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
